About Oster Development

     Oster Homes, a division of Oster Development specializes in upper end homes of $800,000 and up.  The company has built in the Old Metairie area for the last fifteen years due to its outstanding location.  Recently we have expanded to the Lake Vista neighborhood and also the Bocage subdivision in Baton Rouge.  We build custom homes that are unsold as well as build homes on contract.  Only the highest quality materials and workmanship go into an Oster home.

     The President and owner of Oster Development is Don Oster Jr. who has been building "Fine Homes" in Jefferson Parish for over 30 years.  Mr. Oster has a Bachelor's degree in accounting and a Masters degree in Business.  He has been an owner of a construction company for all of his 30 years in business.

     The Head of Construction is Steve Oster who has been with the company for seven years.  Steve Oster also has a Bachelor's degree in accounting from Loyola.

     Oster Development also develops and builds commercial properties.  The company specializes in retail strip shopping centers and usually retains ownership of everything it develops.  We currently own four strip retail centers in Metairie and four retail centers in Baton Rouge.  We manage all of our commercial developments ourselves.

     Oster Development has an affiliated company called Pearl Realty which lists all of the houses Oster Homes builds.  Don Oster Jr. is the broker and has been the owner of Pearl Realty for 25 years.  Steve Oster has been an agent with the company for 7 years.
